Beer Can Island Tampa Bay
For years, it was affectionately dubbed “Beer Can Island,” but since 2017, new owners have transformed this once untamed terrain into a haven for families. Now, it boasts a vibrant atmosphere complete with a tiki bar serving delicious food and drinks, a giant waterslide for the kids, beachside games, camping, and a delightful food truck.
Looking ahead, the island’s future is brimming with ambitious plans. Breakwaters will be strategically installed along the western and southern shores to safeguard against erosion. Extensive efforts will also involve augmenting the island’s size by adding several acres of sand, aiming to restore it to its expansive 1995 dimensions of over 26 acres. Alongside, meticulous landscaping and the introduction of supplementary amenities will enhance the island’s allure.
Collaborating closely with county officials, legal experts, engineers, and designers, we are dedicated to crafting a reimagined island experience that surpasses all past iterations.
